Production Management Trainee

Position Description:

Dental Technologies, Inc. is searching for a Management Trainee to support and coordinate activities of production department in processing materials and manufacturing products.  Trainee will learn the basics of our business, our processes and procedures so they are capable and willing to lead our production area. 

 

Responsibilities:

·     Learn and understand all our key processes (lab, compounding, and production   lines)

·     Understand all of our systems and procedures regarding safety, quality control, and environmental compliance

·     Review production orders or schedule product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations

·     Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products

·     Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications

·     Review production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays

·     Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization

·     Compile, store, and retrieve production data

·     Lead and manage plant personnel, including training, mentoring, guiding, and disciplining.  Know and understand discipline policies and procedures, hourly job responsibilities, cross training and employee growth

·     Continuously monitor team member activities to insure adherence to policies and procedures regarding quality, sanitation and process control standards

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Production Management
  • 0-3 years work experience
  • Interest in Production Management as a long term career path
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate team members
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively interact across multiple levels of the organization
  • Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
